Back to Work!

So it's been quite a long while since I posted photos from a shoot... maybe that's because it's been a little while since I did a photo shoot! :) I took a break from shooting after I had my baby and I guess now that she is a year old I should be able to find time to resume, correct?! :)

Well, I guess I should also mention that we are no longer in Indianapolis, Indiana. For the next few years we will be shooting out of Orem, Utah! Yeah, I am super excited because there are so many beautiful places to take pictures!!!

On our move out we were able to stop and do a photo shoot for a very special 1 month old. She was so great in front of the camera!
Here is Hazel!
Isn't the bear hat adorable?! Want one for your baby? They will be for sale shortly, I'll get you the information for them!
Here is Hazel's big brother, Gideon. Don't you just love that smile!

I look forward to taking more photos now. We still have some unpacking to do, but hopefully it gets done quickly so I have more time to play! :)

Oh Baby!

This little one was such a doll during the photoshoot. We were able to get numerous great shots. I especially love the ones with the feather boa and pearls. Let me know what you think about them!

Another Happy Couple

I had the opportunity to shoot a wedding reception today. The entire wedding party were in great spirits and I had a great time taking their photos. There were so many great photos, it was hard to pick only a few to put up on here. I've got lots of wedding proofing to do, but I'm looking forward to it!

Stud Muffin

Okay, so don't tell me this little guy doesn't just melt your heart! Here he is in his ring bearer tuxedo. For some reason I couldn't get the little guy to smile very much, which is uncharacteristic of him. But I think the photos turned out great! Here are a few...

Little Ballerina

Here are a few pictures from the photo shoot I did of my daughter in her ballet costumes. It was my first time using my white paper background and I have to say I am very pleased with the results. We had a fun time doing the shoot and we had a lot of good shots. Here are my favorites.

Baird/ Keathley Wedding

I had the opportunity to shoot my first civil wedding this weekend. I was a little nervous. A) Because I wasn't exactly sure what to expect at a civil wedding and B) my littlest sister was the bride.

The weather had us a little worried as it poured on us right after the rehearsal. The ground was already soaked with water and we could only imagine what it would be like the day of the wedding.

It actually turned out to be a nice day. The sun came out and my shoes only got stuck in the mud a couple of times. The wedding took place out at a lake and the scenery was beautiful. Everyone was very cooperative with the photos and they all turned out fantastic!

I was excited to have a good friend of mine assist me in taking some of the photos for this wedding and I am truly grateful for her help because there is no way I would have been able to capture everything by myself. There was so much going on at the same time and with my being 7 months pregnant, I wasn't as fast or agile as I normally would be.

I had to go to some extremes to get the photos I wanted... one being holding a slimy worm up by the camera so that the ring bearer (my 2 year old son) would look at the camera instead of the worms crawling on the ground. It did work, I got him to look, but I felt dirty afterwards! Also, I walked out onto the dock to get the beautiful lake in the background of the pictures of the Bride and Groom. My balance is off anyway because of the pregnancy, I honestly thought I was going into the lake a few times!

Overall this weekend was a great experience and I am glad I had the opportunity to do it. And I am very pleased with the result. Now I have about 4000 photos to sort through and proof on the website. Fun, Fun, Fun!!! Look for the new photos on my site soon!!!
